Are you planning to buy a new laptop in a next sale on Flipkart? If yes, then this article is just for you. Actually, it’s my personal experience that I wanted to share with you all so that you don’t suffer just like me. This incident is about my purchase on Flipkart. I bought an Asus Strix gaming laptop on 6th of September, 2019. Below is the full story of my sufferings.
Why I purchased Asus Strix gaming laptop?

I was mesmerized with the design and overall configuration of this laptop. Moreover, it was priced slighly above Rs.60,000 and that was a good price for a laptop that comes with a 512 GB SSD, Core i5 9th gen processor, 8 GB RAM and 4 GB Nvidia Graphics card.
Problems that I faced with Asus Strix
As soon as I unboxed it and switched it on, I was amazed to see the lightings. This is really a good looking laptop. Everything was forking like a charm and I was very happy. But as soon as I opened YouTube, I noticed that there was some problem with the speakers. The sound of the speakers was very low. Even my mobile sounds louder than this laptop. Next day, I reported this issue to Asus customer support. They asked me to install the sound drivers again and sent me a link to download the audio drivers for this device.
I downloaded the drivers and then ran the installation. However, the installation was throwing an error. I told them about this issue and they asked me to reset my laptop. I followed their guidance and at last, the whole laptop stopped working. Now my laptop was not even starting. I was really annoyed, but I kept my calm. I asked Asus support to help me. They said that their technician will visit my place within 2 days. I kept waiting for 2 days and I didn’t get any update from them. Their technician never visited my place.
Finally, I decided to call Flipkart to replace this defective product with a working one. I called Flipkart support and reported this issue. They said that they have created a request and one technician from Asus will visit my place within 5 days. I waited for 7 days, even then, no technician from there visited my place. I was really angry by now.
I finally called Flipkart again (22nd Septembet) and now I asked them to take this laptop back and refund my money. I can’t keep waiting for your technician for almost a month. The beautiful reply that I got was they have raised my concern again and I will get a reply from their team on or before 26th of September.
Flipkart offers easy return of products and this time, it took them almost a month, even then they are not able to refund me.
Asus customer support is the main Culprit
All this issue started when I called Asus customer support. The thing is that they don’t even care about there customers. They just randomly make commitments and forget about them. They told me that their technician will visit my place within 2 days. I waited for their technician for over 8 days, but they never sent him. This is my first experience with Asus and I must say, I will avoid purchasin anything from this Brand in future. Luckily, my old laptop is till working and I can do my critical work on it. It’s a Lenovo laptop and it never disappointed me in the past 6 years.
Guys, I am sharing this incident with you for 2 reasons. Firstly, I want you guys be aware of the Brand Asus, its product quality and its customer support. Secondly, I don’t want anyone else to suffer like me. Rs.62,000 may not be a big amount for others. But for people like me, it’s hard earned money that I can’t just throw away on a Brand that don’t care for its customers.
